School Choice Info:

School Choice Information
Parents in the Eugene School District may choose their children’s school. The district’s school choice policy allows any student in the district to attend any 4J school, provided there is space available. Requests are granted in an order determined by lottery.

APPLYING FOR 2016–17:        *All applications must be submitted online.*


In-district Residents (School Choice)

The application period to enter the in-district school choice lottery for school year 2016-17 is 8 a.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016, through 5 p.m., Monday, February 29, 2016. The lottery will be held the first week of March 2016 with notifications being sent to parents via email. Parents will have 5 days from the receipt of the email to log into their account and accept the seat.


Non-Residents (NOW CLOSED)
Out-of-district transfer (Open Enrollment) applications for the 2016–17 school year will be accepted beginning 8 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016. The deadline to apply for an Open Enrollment transfer is 5 p.m., April 1, 2016. The Open Enrollment lottery will be held the first week of April 2016. A link to the online Open Enrollment application will be available on the 4j website at 8 a.m., on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Parents will be notified of placement in a 4J school by email, at which point you have 5 days to accept/decline.
